A large and enthusiastic crowd from throughout Central Virginia turned out in Orange July 27 to support the candidacy of Col, Eugene Vindman for Congress from Virginia’s 7th District. The rally was organized by the LOW Democrats and the Orange, Culpeper, Madison and Greene County Democratic Committees. Rep. Abigail Spanberger was on hand to endorse Vindman as her replacement as she leaves Congress to seek the office of governor in 2025.

History, politics add zest to summer picnic

Bruce Monroe, president of the Orange County African American Historical Society, and Jason Ford, candidate to represent District 28 in the Virginia State Senate, were guests of honor at the LOW Democratic Club’s annual summer picnic on June 10. About 60 people enjoyed good food, good company and good politics at the the event held in the LOW Community Center. Sandy J. Harrington, candidate for the Orange County School Board, also attended to meet voters and answer their questions.

Amy Laufer gets enthusiastic support at rally

Rep. Abigail Spanberger was on hand to support Amy Laufer in her bid to be elected to the Virginia State Senate when the LOW Democratic Club and the Democratic committees of Orange, Culpeper and Spotsylvania counties hosted a rally and fund-raiser for Laufer on Aug. 10 at the LOW Community Center.

Supporting the Women’s March

LOW Democrats supported the Women’s March on Washington Jan. 21 by marching with the Blue Action Network in Fredericksburg and Charlottesville Gathers in Charlottesville, joining thousands of others in sending a message to the Trump administration that they will not tolerate any threat to human rights.
